If so, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is the place to develop such qualities.

There are three types of Award: Bronze, Silver and Gold. the Bronze take 6 mounths, Silver 1 year and Gold Award1 1/2 year for compeltion. If your son/daughter has bronze then he/she can complete silver in 6 months and by having silver he/she would complete gold in 01 year.

The minimum age requremint for enrolment is:

  • For Bronze Award 14 years
  • For Silver Award 15 years
  • For Gold Award 16 years
  • The Award has to be completed before the 25th birthday. So,there is a lot of time available to complete the award requirements.

During studies or other commitment days the activities for Award may be suspended and resumed later. It does not, therefore, hamper other assential commitments.

The Award is recognized all over the world and presently exists in 113 countries. In Pakistan it is operating since 1987.

The Award ceatificate bear the signature of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. Since 1956 Prince Philip is supporting the Award Programme. The International Secretariat is located in London.

After achieving the Gold Award there are oppertunities for going abroad for attending the training workshops and other events. By now Pakistani Gold Award holders/ entrants have atended such events in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore and Ireland. This is the only programme available in Pakistan that is recognized by the University and Collages Administration system (UCAS), UK.
